The 3-300mm transparent ozone-free quartz glass tube is a special quartz glass tube, which is mainly used to prevent the generation of ozone. This quartz glass tube is usually doped with 100-200PPM titanium oxide on the basis of pure quartz glass, so that it has the performance of absorbing far infrared (below 230nm). This allows the ozone-free quartz tube to basically cut off ultraviolet rays with wavelengths less than 220nm in the spectrum, and at the same time pass through ultraviolet rays at 253.7nm. This wavelength of ultraviolet rays has strong bactericidal power. Therefore, ozone-free quartz tubes are often used in the production of various germicidal lamps, especially in applications where dense ultraviolet radiation needs to be protected and no ozone is produced.
In addition, the surface of ozone-free quartz tubes is usually transparent, and the cross-section may appear slightly purple. The chemical composition and physical properties of this quartz glass tube are similar to those of ordinary quartz glass tubes. It has the advantages of high temperature resistance, low coefficient of expansion, thermal shock resistance, chemical stability and electrical insulation properties. Therefore, it is widely used in medical equipment, chemical instruments with high temperature and corrosion resistance, chemical industry, electronics, metallurgy, building materials, and national defense and other industrial fields.
