Fused and thickened quartz glass plate is a high-performance glass material made of high-purity natural quartz through high-temperature melting process. The product not only inherits the excellent properties of ordinary quartz glass, such as high light transmission, high thermal stability and chemical inertness, but also further improves its mechanical strength, thermal shock resistance and service life through the thickening design. Fused and thickened quartz glass plate is widely used in many high-tech fields such as optics, electronics, aerospace, medical, chemical and so on.

Product Characteristics

High purity and chemical inertness: The SiO2 content of the fused thick quartz glass plate is over 99.95%, ensuring its high chemical purity. This material is resistant to a wide range of chemicals and exhibits excellent chemical stability as it hardly reacts with acids other than hydrofluoric acid and hot phosphoric acid.

Excellent heat resistance: with a melting point as high as 1730°C, it can work for a short period of time at a high temperature of 1450°C and maintain its working strength for a long period of time at 1000°C. Its coefficient of thermal expansion is extremely low, only 5.4×10^-7/°C, about 1/20 of ordinary glass, with extremely high thermal shock stability, effectively preventing the material from deformation and cracking at high temperatures.

High light transmission and spectral transmittance: fused and thickened quartz glass plate has excellent transmittance of light in the range from UV to IR, covering the entire visible light spectrum. In particular, UV-grade fused silica glass, with UV transmission wavelengths as low as 160nm, is ideal for aerospace optics.

Good electrical insulation properties: The resistance value varies with temperature from 1010 Ω-cm at 20°C, showing good electrical insulation and high frequency properties, making it suitable for the manufacture of insulating components.

High strength and resistance to mechanical shock: The mechanical strength of fused silica glass plates has been significantly improved through a thickened design, enabling them to withstand greater pressure and mechanical shock for a longer service life.

Flexible machinability: Despite its high hardness, fused silica can be accurately machined with diamond tools, laser cutters, and waterjets to meet the needs of a wide range of complex shapes and sizes.

Optical field: Used in the manufacture of high-precision optical components such as lenses, prisms, filters, etc., as well as key components in the production of fiber optic preforms and optical fibers.

Electronics and semiconductor industry: as insulating components, diffusion tubes, quartz bellows in the epitaxial process, etc. to ensure high performance and stability of electronic devices.

Aerospace: Utilizing its low coefficient of thermal expansion and high thermal stability, it is used in the manufacture of precision instruments, observation windows, structural components, etc. to ensure the reliability and safety of aerospace equipment.

Medical and Healthcare: Used in the manufacture of ultraviolet sanitary equipment, such as germicidal lamps, utilizing its good transmittance of UVC light to achieve efficient disinfection.
