High transmittance valve quartz glass sheet
High transmittance valve quartz glass sheet is a special industrial technology glass mainly used in fields that require excellent optical performance. This type of glass is made by melting high-purity natural quartz (such as crystal, quartz sand), and its main component is silicon dioxide (SiO2). Quartz glass is known for its extremely small coefficient of linear expansion (only 1/10 to 1/20 of ordinary glass), which allows it to remain stable even under extreme temperature conditions. Its commonly used temperature range is 1100 to 1200 ℃, and it can withstand high temperatures up to 1400 ℃ in the short term.
The structure of quartz glass is a continuous three-dimensional network formed by tightly arranged tetrahedral units of silica through shared oxygen atoms. Due to its amorphous structure, quartz glass does not exhibit long-range ordering like crystals at the microscopic level, but rather presents a state of short-range order and long-range disorder. This structural characteristic gives quartz glass many unique physical and chemical properties, such as excellent spectral transparency, extremely low thermal expansion coefficient and conductivity, as well as outstanding radiation resistance and long lifespan under extreme conditions.
According to appearance and purity, quartz glass can be divided into two categories: transparent and opaque, as well as three categories: ordinary, high-purity, and doped. Ordinary quartz glass usually refers to quartz glass with low purity and a certain amount of impurities; High purity quartz glass refers to quartz glass with extremely high purity and low impurity content, usually used in applications that require high purity; Doped quartz glass is a type of quartz glass in which specific additives are added during the preparation process to alter certain properties.
In terms of application, high transmittance valve quartz glass sheets play an important role in modern information industry, optics, photovoltaics, semiconductors and other national strategic emerging industries, as well as defense fields such as aerospace, due to their excellent optical performance, high temperature resistance and chemical stability.
