Q1: What is a quartz tube with strong compatibility?  

A: It refers to the size, shape, opening position, and end processing method of the pipe that can accurately match the requirements of your existing equipment or process flow. Including: non-standard outer/inner diameter, one end tapered or expanded, side wall openings (circular/waist shaped/multi row holes), flange integrated sintering, grinding taper sealing, etc.

Q2: My equipment's furnace tube interface is KF16 flange. Can it be directly matched with quartz tube?

Q3: Quartz tubes need to withstand a pressure of 20 bar. How is the wall thickness determined?  

A: Calculate according to the formula for thin-walled pressure vessels, while considering the brittleness characteristics of quartz. Conventional experience: With an outer diameter of 50mm and a wall thickness of 3mm, it can safely withstand a pressure of 15bar; With an outer diameter of 30mm and a wall thickness of 4mm, it can withstand a pressure of 25bar. Q4: Can multiple precision holes be opened on the side of the quartz tube? How much can the hole tolerance be achieved?  

A: Okay. Through CNC ultrasonic drilling or laser assisted processing, the minimum aperture is 0.5mm, the hole spacing tolerance is ± 0.05mm, and the distance tolerance from the hole center to the end face is ± 0.1mm. Single row, double row staggered or spiral distributed holes can be processed for gas distribution or thermocouple insertion.

Case 1: PECVD Furnace Tube Replacement by a Photovoltaic Cell Manufacturer in the United States

-Problem: The previous quartz furnace tube (with an outer diameter of 280mm, length of 1600mm, and 5 lateral air inlets) has a delivery time of 16 weeks and a unit price of $3200. Equipment shutdown and waiting for management result in a production capacity loss of approximately $9000 per day.

-Result: The wafer did not tilt or scratch during the lifting process inside the tube. Six units will pass the equipment acceptance in one go after delivery. This design has become a standard component for the customer's new model.  

Case 4: Supercritical Fluid Device at a Japanese University - High Pressure Mirror Tube

-Problem: It is necessary to directly observe the fluid phase behavior in supercritical CO ₂ at 25MPa and 400 ° C, requiring the quartz tube to be able to withstand pressure while retaining an optical window on the side.  

-Solution: Design a variable diameter quartz tube - with a main body outer diameter of 40mm and a wall thickness of 8mm (pressure resistant section). The middle section is locally thinned to a wall thickness of 3mm and polished on both sides to form an optical observation window, with a gradual transition on both sides of the observation window.
