Our quartz sand is made from natural quartz stone, which has hard texture, wear-resistant, stable chemical properties. With the development of the solar photovoltaic industry, the demand of high quality silica sand with high SIO2 content, low iron is growing.
Our quartz sand has the following specialities:
1. We use electromagnetic instead of pickling to remove iron, this is because the excess acid in quartz sand can affect the life of the expensive kiln.
2. Our silica quartz sand has more than 99% SiO2, which will make the solar glass have good uniform stripes, good chemical stability; When the content of SiO2 is 98%, the streak uniformity of the glass sample will be poor.
3. Our quartz sand has low iron content, which is an important indicator of high transmittance. If the iron content is high, the photovoltaic solar quartz glass will appear yellow-green.
4. Our quartz sand also has strict control over other trace elements, such as Ti, Cr and Mn, which also have an impact on the transmittance of glass. For example, if the content of Ti in glass is high, the glass will turn yellow, resulting in a significant decrease in the transmittance of ultraviolet and visible light, so the content of TiO2 need to be below 0.022%.
5. Our quartz sand has strict requirements on particle size. If the particle size is too small, it is easy to cause flying material in the melting process, which will cause erosion of refractory materials in the melting kiln. If the particle size is too large, it will cause melting difficulties and form quartz stones.
6. Apperance: The best is angular shape, angular surface area is large, and the contact opportunities with the flux, in the mixing, transportation process is not easy to stratify.
7. The water content of our quartz sand is less than 5%. This is because the appropriate amount of water in the silica sand can make the surface of the silica sand form water film, increase the melting and adhesion ability of the flux, accelerate the reaction process, and reduce dust and flying material. Too much water is easy to form aggregates, resulting in uneven mixing. At the same time, water evaporation will consume some heat and reduce thermal efficiency.
