A: The temperature resistance limit of ordinary glass is usually around 300 ℃, and it is susceptible to acid and alkali corrosion. The softening point of quartz tube (high-purity silicon dioxide) is as high as 1730 ℃, which can work at high temperatures above 1100 ℃ for a long time, and it hardly reacts with any chemical substances except hydrofluoric acid. In environmental monitoring involving high-temperature combustion or highly corrosive gases, quartz tubes are the only material that can ensure stable data transmission.

Case 1: A certain environmental instrument company - CEMS flue gas analysis system upgrade

Customer pain point: A customer's export-oriented flue gas analyzer encountered a Waterloo in a waste incineration plant project in Southeast Asia. Due to the complex composition of local garbage and the high concentration of acidic gases and tar in the flue gas, the ordinary heat-resistant glass observation window used in the original equipment experienced severe corrosion and atomization after 3 months of operation, resulting in blocked light paths and data drift.

To address the issue of tar adhesion, we assisted the client in designing a quartz tube structure with a heating jacket. By utilizing the high temperature resistance of quartz to 1200 ℃, the tube wall temperature was raised to over 200 ℃ to prevent tar condensation.

Result: After the renovation, the equipment operated continuously for 12 months under extreme conditions, and the quartz tube remained as bright as new without any decrease in transmittance.

Case 2: Third party environmental testing laboratory - improving the accuracy of heavy metal detection in water quality

Customer pain point: During the detection of trace lead and cadmium in surface water using atomic fluorescence spectroscopy, the laboratory found that the blank values were consistently high and unstable, resulting in inaccurate quantification of low concentration samples.
