The white mist appearing on the inner wall of the quartz tube not only affects the transmittance, but may also cause pollution to precision processes. The causes and cleaning methods are as follows:

Poor dehydroxylation and poor exhaust: During the drawing or processing of quartz tubes, if the dehydroxylation treatment is not in place or the exhaust is poor, it will cause small bubbles or hydroxyl residues to form inside the tube wall, which will appear as white mist at high temperatures. In addition, insufficient purity of the injected gas can also cause this phenomenon.
