What are the physical properties of quartz plates

1. High hardness

2. High temperature resistance

The softening point temperature of quartz glass is about 1730 ° C, which can be used for a long time at 1100 ° C, and the maximum temperature for a short time can reach 1450 ° C. This high temperature resistance allows quartz plates to maintain stable physical properties in high temperature environments without deformation or damage.


3. Low coefficient of thermal expansion

Quartz plate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, which means that its volume changes relatively little when the temperature changes. 7. Corrosion resistance

Except for hydrofluoric acid, quartz glass hardly reacts chemically with other acids, and its acid resistance is 30 times that of ceramics and 150 times that of stainless steel. This strong corrosion resistance makes quartz plates widely used in the production of chemical instruments, especially in environments that need to withstand corrosive media.

8. Spectral transmission performance

The spectral transmission performance of quartz plates is affected by three factors: reflection, scattering and absorption. The reflection of quartz glass is generally 8%, the ultraviolet region is larger, and the infrared region is smaller, so the transmittance is generally not more than 92%. The scattering of quartz glass is relatively small and can generally be ignored. Spectral absorption is closely related to the impurity content and production process of quartz glass. At the level of transmittance in the band below 200 nanometers, it represents the amount of metal impurity content; the absorption at 240 nanometers indicates the amount of anoxic structure; the absorption in the visible band is caused by the presence of transition metal ions.
