High transmittance protective cover quartz glass sheet
High transmittance protective cover quartz glass sheet, also known as high-precision window sheet, is a special industrial technology glass mainly used in fields that require excellent optical performance. Quartz glass is made by melting high-purity natural quartz (such as crystal, quartz sand), and its main component is silicon dioxide (SiO2). This type of glass has a series of unique physical and chemical properties, such as excellent spectral transparency, extremely low thermal expansion coefficient and conductivity, extremely high chemical stability, radiation resistance, and long lifespan under extreme conditions.
The structural characteristic of quartz glass is that it is an amorphous material composed of a single component of silicon dioxide, and its microstructure presents a short-range ordered and long-range disordered state. This structure endows quartz glass with excellent thermal shock resistance, allowing it to remain stable under extreme temperature conditions. The commonly used temperature range is 1100 ℃~1200 ℃, and it can withstand high temperatures up to 1400 ℃ in the short term.
In the field of optics, quartz glass has excellent transmittance over a wide spectrum from far ultraviolet (160nm) to far infrared (5 μ m), which is not possessed by ordinary optical glass. Therefore, quartz glass is widely used in the fields of semiconductor lithography and precision optical devices. In addition, quartz glass also has good radiation resistance and has been widely used as a window material for spacecraft and a protective cover for key components in space laboratories.
In terms of mechanical properties, quartz glass is similar to ordinary glass and belongs to brittle and hard materials. The strength parameters such as compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength, and torsional strength are influenced by various factors, such as surface condition, geometric shape, and testing methods.
In terms of electrical performance, quartz glass is an excellent electrical insulation material with high resistivity and breakdown voltage, as well as low dielectric loss. These characteristics give quartz glass an irreplaceable position in high-temperature and extreme working environments compared to other glasses.
In terms of thermal properties, quartz glass has a very low coefficient of linear expansion and excellent resistance to thermal vibrations, and will not crack even after repeated exposure to large temperature differences in a short period of time. These excellent thermal properties make quartz glass have important applications in high temperature and extreme working environments.
Quartz glass sheets with high transmittance protective covers play an important role in various fields such as semiconductors, optics, photovoltaics, aerospace, etc. due to their excellent performance characteristics.
