This material has good mechanical strength and heat resistance at high temperatures, with a melting temperature of 1713 ° C, a vaporization temperature of 2100 ° C, and a crystallization temperature of 1300 ° C. The expansion coefficient of quartz glass is low, generally 5x10 ^ -7, which is 1/20 of ordinary glass. At 1200 ° C, the coefficient of expansion is the smallest and the mechanical strength is the highest.
