UV filtering quartz glass disc is a special type of quartz glass mainly used for filtering ultraviolet rays. Quartz glass itself is an amorphous material made by melting high-purity natural quartz (such as crystal, quartz sand), mainly composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2). It is renowned for its extremely small coefficient of linear expansion, excellent thermal shock resistance, outstanding spectral transparency, low thermal expansion coefficient and conductivity, as well as outstanding radiation resistance and long lifespan under extreme conditions.
The UV filtering quartz glass tube can effectively block all UV-B and UV-C ultraviolet radiation as well as most UV-A ultraviolet radiation by infiltrating cerium and other trace elements. This material has a colorless or slightly blue surface and a light blue cross-section.
