This material also has high transmittance for ultraviolet and visible light, as well as good thermal and chemical properties. Due to these characteristics, it is widely used as a coating material, especially in the fields of mirror multi-layer coating and anti reflective coating.
The principle of optical coating materials is to change the transmission characteristics of light waves by depositing or coating one or more layers of dielectric films or metal films on optical components or independent substrates. These characteristics include the transmission, reflection, absorption, scattering, polarization, and phase change of light. By appropriate design, the transmittance and reflectivity of components in different wavelength bands can be adjusted, resulting in different characteristics of light with different polarization planes.
