This material is made by melting pure natural quartz (such as crystal, quartz sand, etc.), and its main component is silicon dioxide. The manufacturing process of semiconductor fused silica glass plate includes electric melting process and gas refining process. The electric melting method is to melt powdered quartz raw materials by electric heating, and then form quartz glass by rapid cooling. During the melting process, the structure of quartz crystals undergoes a transformation from β - quartz to α - quartz, and then to α - orthoclase, until a quartz melt is formed. This melting process is usually carried out in a highly vacuum environment to remove gases released during the process and reduce the bubble content in quartz glass.
