Super large diameter fused silica glass tube is a special transparent quartz tube, which has all the properties of quartz tube. The outer diameter of this quartz glass tube can reach 300mm, with a silicon dioxide content of over 99.95%. They are widely used in the production of petrochemical pipelines, special metal smelting molds, semiconductor industry, quartz instruments, square tubes, quartz plates, etc.
The production method of ultra large caliber quartz glass tubes mainly includes the one-step continuous melting method. The characteristic of this method is that it can form ultra large caliber high-temperature resistant quartz glass tubes in one step. The specific steps include feeding quartz raw materials doped with silicon carbide and/or silicon nitride into a continuous melting furnace, melting them at high temperature, and then forming them through a molding tool platform. During the molding process, silicon carbide powder and/or silicon nitride powder can be continuously thermally sprayed on the high-temperature outer surface of the molded quartz tube through spraying equipment to increase its ability to resist high-temperature deformation.
The ultra large caliber quartz glass tube has excellent physical and chemical properties, such as good thermal stability, good transparency, and good electrical insulation. For example, their coefficient of thermal expansion is small, they can withstand drastic temperature changes, and will not rupture due to sudden temperature differences.
