Furnace fused silica glass tube is a special glass material, which is mainly used in high temperature environment.
Production process: continuous melting method is usually adopted for the production of fused silica glass tubes in furnaces. This method involves crushing selected high-quality silica raw materials into small particles and then melting them in a graphite rod heating furnace. The fused quartz glass is directly cooled, broken and sorted, and finally made into furnace fused silica glass tube.
Physical and chemical properties: fused silica is an amorphous siliceous glass phase material formed by melting high-purity siliceous raw materials. It has an extremely low coefficient of linear expansion (0.54 x 10-6 ℃ ^ -1, 0-1000 ℃), good thermal shock resistance, high fire resistance, low thermal conductivity, and excellent corrosion resistance. These characteristics make fused silica very suitable for refractory materials, such as ceramic kiln furniture, submerged nozzle in steelmaking industry, ladle sleeve brick, etc.
Application field: fused silica has a wide range of applications, including precision casting, grinding wheel abrasives, advanced glass products, etc. Transparent fused silica (SiO2 content is more than 99.9%) is usually used in optical and electronic industries, while opaque fused silica is more used in the production of refractories.
