Ultra low expansion coefficient quartz rod is a special type of quartz glass characterized by a nearly zero thermal expansion coefficient at room temperature, good thermal expansion uniformity, and low stress. This type of quartz rod is mainly used in components such as mirrors and laser resonators in precision optical systems, and is widely used in fields such as space-based space telescopes, optical components for semiconductor lithography equipment, atomic clocks, etc.
The preparation method of this ultra-low expansion quartz glass mainly adopts chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method. In the preparation process, the raw materials containing silicon and titanium are mixed evenly, and then hydrolyzed through a hydrogen oxygen burner to form silicon dioxide particles doped with titanium dioxide. These particles are guided by airflow and deposited into the crucible, which is then rotated and flows freely to fill the crucible. Finally, the crucible is controlled to form, resulting in ultra-low expansion synthetic quartz glass.
Due to its extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion, ultra-low expansion quartz glass can maintain stable size under temperature changes, making it important in fields such as aerospace and precision measurement.
