92-99.5% transparent fused UV quartz glass disc
92-99.5% transparent fused UV quartz glass disc is a high-performance optical material, mainly composed of high-purity silicon dioxide (SiO2), whose purity is usually above 99.99%. This quartz glass has extremely high transmittance in the ultraviolet to near-infrared wavelength range (185nm-2500nm), especially in the deep ultraviolet region, making it widely used in fields such as ultraviolet lasers.
Compared with ordinary optical glass, fused silica glass has better uniformity and lower coefficient of thermal expansion, which makes it particularly suitable for applications in the ultraviolet to near-infrared wavelength range. For example, in the fields of high-temperature lasers and imaging, this material is highly favored due to its excellent performance. In addition, it also has excellent chemical stability and electrical insulation properties, maintaining good performance even at high temperatures.
The manufacturing process of this quartz glass includes using SiCl4 as raw material, high-temperature hydrolysis or oxidation in a hydrogen oxygen flame to generate SiO2 particles, deposition and melting to form transparent high-purity quartz ingots. Then, according to the requirements, the quartz ingot is cut into quartz blocks of corresponding sizes and formed into quartz plates through thermal processing. After a series of cold processing techniques such as cutting, squaring, chamfering, grinding and polishing, the quartz plate is finally formed into the required optical components.
92-99.5% transparent fused UV quartz glass discs are widely used in optical instruments, laser technology, medical equipment, and other fields due to their excellent optical properties, high transmittance, and outstanding physical and chemical properties.
