JGS1, JGS2, and JGS3 transparent optical fused silica plates with a diameter of 20-800mm are three different types of optical quartz glasses, each with its own unique characteristics and application range.
JGS1 (Far Ultraviolet Optical Quartz Glass):
Spectral range: 185-2.5 μm.
Features: It is made of synthetic stone and high-purity hydrogen-oxygen flame melting, contains a large number of hydroxyl groups (about 2000ppm), and has excellent ultraviolet transmittance, especially in the short-wave ultraviolet region, which is much better than other types of glass. The ultraviolet transmittance of 185 nanometers can reach more than 90%.
JGS2 (UV optical quartz glass):
Spectral range: 220-2.5 μm.
Features: Crystal as raw material, refined by gas, containing dozens of PPM metal impurities. Absorption peak at 2730nm, strip and granular structure. Suitable for the wavelength range of 220-2500nm.
JGS3 (infrared optical quartz glass):
Spectral range: 260-3.5 μm.
Features: With crystal or high purity quartz sand as raw material, it is produced in a vacuum pressure furnace (ie, electrofusion method), containing dozens of PPM metal impurities. Almost no OH, high infrared transmittance, suitable for optical materials from 260 to 3500nm.
The common characteristics of these three quartz glasses are high purity, high heat resistance, high radiation resistance, and excellent light transmission properties. They have good light transmission properties in the entire spectral band of ultraviolet to infrared rays, with a visible light transmittance of more than 93%, especially in the ultraviolet spectrum, the maximum transmittance can reach more than 80. In addition, the resistance value of quartz glass is equivalent to 10,000 times that of ordinary glass, making it an excellent electrical insulating material.
