UV optical quartz cuvette
Ultraviolet optical quartz cuvette, also known as absorption cell or sample cell, is a laboratory instrument mainly used for loading reference and sample liquids. It is usually used in conjunction with spectroscopic analysis instruments, such as spectrophotometers, haemoglobin analyzers, and particle size analyzers, etc., to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of substances. This cuvette is widely used in chemical, metallurgical, medical, pharmaceutical, food, environmental protection, power plants, water plants, and petroleum industries, as well as in the testing and laboratory of colleges, universities, and scientific research units.
The main features of a quartz cuvette include:
High mechanical strength, able to adapt to temperature changes, the bonding part is very strong, and the internal pressure can withstand several atmospheres.
Using precision optical processing technology, the optical properties of the transparent surface are excellent.
Made of high-quality quartz glass and optical glass, it is guaranteed to be free of bubbles and streaks.
It has strong corrosion resistance and can withstand immersion in a variety of media, such as hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, alcohol, carbon tetrachloride, and benzene.
In terms of technical parameters, the transmittance of the quartz cuvette at a specific wavelength (e.g. 0.2 micron, 0.25 micron, 0.3 micron) shall not be less than 70%, 80%, and 85% respectively. The transmittance difference between the two quartz cuvette sets used in these wavelengths shall not exceed 0.5%.
According to the wavelength range used, the cuvette can be divided into three series: visible light series (glass cuvette), ultraviolet visible light series (quartz cuvette) and infrared light series (infrared cuvette). UV optical quartz cuvette is particularly suitable for ultraviolet and visible light regions, and its wavelength range is generally 200 to 400 nanometers.
