Abrasion resistant fused silica glass plate is a special glass material with many excellent physical and chemical properties. This material is mainly melted from high-purity siliceous raw materials, forming an amorphous siliceous glass phase. Its main characteristics include extremely low coefficient of linear expansion (0.54 x 10-6 ℃ ^ -1, in the range of 0-1000 ℃), good thermal shock resistance, high fire resistance, low thermal conductivity, and excellent corrosion resistance. These characteristics make the fused silica glass plate have the characteristics of fire resistance, wear resistance, high temperature resistance and so on. Therefore, it is widely used in ceramic kiln furniture, immersion nozzle of steel making industry, ladle sleeve brick and other parts, as well as in precision casting, grinding wheel abrasives, advanced glass products and so on.
Fused silica glass plate can be divided into transparent fused silica and opaque fused silica according to its transparency. The SiO2 content of transparent fused silica is more than 99.9%, the density is about 2.20g/cm ⊃3;, and the thermal conductivity is low. Because of its high cost, transparent fused silica is usually not used as refractory raw material, but as the leftover of some transparent quartz glass.
In terms of preparation process, fused silica glass has the advantages of wide source of raw materials, mature preparation process, and controllable size. The lattice impurities, inclusions, particle size distribution, and particle shape of its raw materials have a significant impact on product quality.
