It has good transmittance performance in the entire spectral range from ultraviolet to infrared, especially in the ultraviolet spectral region, with a maximum transmittance of over 80%. The melting point of the test tube is as high as 1750 ℃, and the softening point is 1730 ℃. It can be used for a long time at 1200 ℃, and the maximum temperature for short-term use can reach 1450 ℃. At the same time, it has a very small coefficient of thermal expansion and can withstand drastic temperature changes. Even if quartz glass is heated to 1100 degrees Celsius and placed in room temperature water, it will not explode. In addition, except for hydrofluoric acid and hot phosphoric acid, it is resistant to various acids, alkalis, neutral salts, sulfur, and carbon corrosion at both room temperature and high temperature.
