Customer Application Case (Anonymous)

Case 1: A semiconductor packaging equipment supplier in Europe

Requirement: A gas guided quartz component is needed for the side of the gold wire welding machine welding head, which is required to accurately cover the 0.5mm area around the welding point with nitrogen gas and not interfere with the high-speed movement of the welding head.  

Solution: We have designed and manufactured a miniature curved quartz cover that integrates a 0.3mm wide narrow seam air outlet, with an overall size of 12mm × 8mm × 5mm and a wall thickness of 1mm. The front end is chamfered to avoid the welding head.  

Result: The customer's welding spatter was reduced by 76%, and the welding head movement trajectory was not interfered with in any way. They have been continuously purchasing for 18 months, with an average monthly usage of 2000 pieces.

Case 2: A manufacturer of laser slotting equipment for photovoltaic cells

Requirement: The protective lens under the laser cutting head is frequently contaminated with silicon powder and needs to be shut down for cleaning every 2 hours. Request to customize a quartz negative pressure suction ring, installed between the cutting head and the silicon wafer, to remove smoke and dust.  

Solution: We have developed a circular quartz component with an outer diameter of 180mm, an inner diameter of 120mm, and a thickness of 8mm. The internal design includes a circular airway and 36 equiangular micropores, and the surface is coated with an anti reflection film.

Case 3: A Medical Laser Equipment Company in the United States

Requirement: A disposable quartz tip head for minimally invasive fiber laser cutting machines, which should be biocompatible, accurately breakable, and have a light transmittance greater than 92%.
