High-precision laser cutting of fused silica glass plate
High precision laser cutting fused silica glass plate is a method of precision processing fused silica glass using laser technology. This method is widely used in aerospace, micro optical components, military and other fields because it has the advantages of high heat resistance, low thermal expansion coefficient, and good insulation performance.
The laser cutting technology of fused silica glass plate mainly includes two kinds: ultraviolet femtosecond laser filament high-precision processing technology and pulsed CO2 laser high-precision ablation technology.
High precision processing technology of ultraviolet femtosecond laser filament: This technology utilizes ultraviolet femtosecond laser with a wavelength of 343 nm for processing. The influence of laser focus position, pulse energy, repetition rate, scanning speed, and scanning times on the damage morphology of quartz glass fiber was studied through experiments. Based on this, the process parameters were optimized to achieve rapid cutting and drilling. Research has shown that at a constant laser repetition rate, the greater the pulse energy, the deeper the damage to the optical fiber; When the pulse energy remains constant, the higher the repetition frequency, the greater the depth of fiber damage. The decrease in scanning speed will increase the depth of damage, but it will also increase the amount of molten material on the processed surface; Increasing the scanning frequency can significantly improve the processing quality.
Pulsed CO2 laser high-precision ablation technology: This technology uses pulsed CO2 laser to perform high-precision ablation on fused quartz glass. Experimental verification has shown that high-precision local area uniform ablation can be achieved by controlling the overlap rate, and different nanometer level ablation depths can be obtained by controlling the laser power density. This technology shows great potential in surface processing of fused quartz glass, especially in obtaining ultra smooth surfaces.
These two laser technologies have significant advantages in high-precision processing of fused silica glass, and can meet the strict requirements for processing accuracy and surface quality in aerospace, micro optical elements, military and other fields.
